A pleasant, functional, uncluttered house with just what you need, and a perfect pool for relaxing.
Just a short walk from the beach and shops, yet still peaceful. The owner is attentive to requests and genuinely cares about guests’ well-being. We thank them for the welcome basket as well as for accommodating a special request that truly enhanced our stay.
A car is only needed for excursions, as everything is within walking distance.
Almyrida is an ideal spot to discover the beautiful western part of Crete. I highly recommend it!

A fabulous villa with wonderful owners. The villa has everything you could need and is brilliantly located in this lovely little village a few minutes walk from the beach, tavernas, supermarkets, etc. Everything worked, the beds were comfortable, it was spotlessly clean, and we had a very generous welcome pack. Chris the owner was so generous, offering to help with booking taxis from the airport, advising on a hire car, and even booking a table at a local restaurant for our first night. If I could give the villa and its owners more than 5 stars then I would! We hope to return soon.

We visited Villa Elaia two weeks this summer and are very happy. The communication from the moment of booking until the return home was flawless and very friendly. Little things like your offer to book a table at a restaurant the first night and the welcome pack for the first hours added a lot to the hospitality and made us feel treated like 5-star guests. The villa is well equipped and taken care of, and combined with the private pool and the good location (300 metres from the beach) it adds to a great holiday experience. Fully recommended!

We have just had two wonderful weeks. We have been spending our holidays in holiday apartments or houses for years. We have never had such great all-round care. Even before the holiday, all wishes were asked and taken care of immediately. The taxi from the airport was organized. When we moved into the villa there was a really lovely care package with lots of goodies on the table, so we didn’t have to go shopping straight away. The most important things are on site and do not have to be purchased for the few days. The landlords are available at any time and are very friendly and will try to make you feel comfortable. Almyrida is a great starting point for excursions, the car rental was also taken care of upon request and went absolutely smoothly. After the first week, the entire house was thoroughly cleaned, something I hadn’t experienced before. Really highly recommended.

Perfect family villa! As a family of four we spent two lovely weeks at the villa spending a lot of our time having fun in the good size pool and relaxing on the sun loungers. It has a wonderful outdoor area with two seating areas and a charcoal bbq. Inside a well equipped kitchen and two good size bathrooms. Air conditioning in the main room downstairs and in the comfortable bedrooms. The hosts are very helpful and there was a generous welcome package on arrival. The location suited us as we did not want to hire a car. It is at the end of a quiet side road with a short walk to the supermarket, bakery, sandy beach and tavernas. Added bonus of only a 35min taxi ride from Chania airport. We highly recommend the Villa and would definitely stay there again in the future.

Villa Elaia is a perfect family holiday home. It is very well equipped, and is in an ideal location close to the beach in Almyrida. The pool is a good size, and the shops and restaurants of Almyrida are all nearby. The beach in nearby Kalyves is only a short walk away, and the pretty village of Gavalochori is also easily accessible. No need for a car; Almyrida taxis are very reliable and reasonably priced. Christian was prompt to respond to any queries, and made sure we had everything we need. The welcome pack on arrival was much appreciated! Highly recommended.

A Cretian Haven
This is an immaculately prepared 2 bedroomed villa with private pool within a small collection of villas in a quite off road position well within walking distance of all amenities in Almyrida and a few minutes walk from the blue flag beach. The owners Christian and Christine have an extremely professional approach having gone above and beyond exceptional by providing every convenience that a holiday maker would require. The pool is maintained and cleaned twice a week to a high standard. Housekeeping is once a week and faultless, together with a regular gardener. Since the photograph shown the villa has received extensive boundary fencing, gate and walling making the pool area not only private but totally secure to those using it, together with security lighting. All in all this is an exceptional rental villa where you could not fail to enjoy your holiday.

We loved our stay. The villa is in a central yet quiet location. Christian has thought of everything you could possibly need and provided a very generous welcome pack. We’ll be back.

At Villa Elaia we had a perfect family holiday! The house is generously equipped, comfortable and has everything you need. Especially the pool was perfect for the kids. Really great holiday home, in which you can feel really comfortable. Short distances on foot, beach, supermarket, taverns all around. We were there for 2 weeks and could have easily stayed a 3rd and 4th. 1 week we had a car and got great tips from Mr. Metzdorf what we should see. The other week we enjoyed the pool, terrace, etc and had a really good time. Due to the location at the end of the road, it is quiet and no onlookers. The welcome package also helped us a lot because we didn’t have the opportunity to go shopping in the evening. Fam Metzdorf reserved us a table in the restaurant on the first evening with a welcome drink :-), just arrive and feel good. We rarely go to the same place twice but if we did it would be our #1 choice. If you don’t feel comfortable here, you’re doing something wrong, because everything you need for a holiday is there, except garden tools for my husband, who can’t sit still and then wanted to replace the gardener :-// :-))

We have spent a wonderful time. The house has everything you need, the kitchen is fully equipped, so you can conjure up everything you need to eat even in Corona times, if you want. The house is at the end of a small cul-de-sac and saves you from having guests from other houses constantly walking by. Everything you need for vacation is within walking distance (supermarket, restaurants, beach, bus, etc.). The beach offers everyone what they want, from pebbles to sand or jetties, and the restaurants offer a wide range of Greek and international delicacies. We will definitely be back!

As a family of 2 adults with 3 kids we had plenty of space with two bedrooms along with a single and a double sofa bed located downstairs. We will definitely return to Villa Elaia.

The villa was fully equipped and we felt right at home. It was great that there were 3 air conditioners and of course the pool and private garden area. All in all we liked it very much and we can only recommend Villa Elaia.
